Lithium supply starts with the right material for your process

Source lithium through Europiun in Nigeria. Our technical team brings mineral knowledge to the discussion, helping you define the material, assay and delivery requirements that matter to your operation.

A lithium percentage tells only part of the story

Spodumene, lepidolite and petalite are different lithium-bearing minerals. The mineral present, its association with other minerals and the intended processing route all matter when evaluating a source.

Tell us which material your plant accepts. Europiun will discuss supply against that requirement, with the offered form, grade and supporting information confirmed before an order is agreed.

Identify where your requirement sits in the lithium value chain

Lithium-bearing ore

A source material that may need sorting, concentration and further processing. Its bulk assay does not establish how much lithium a particular plant can recover.

Mineral concentrate

Material upgraded by mineral processing. A concentrate specification still needs to identify mineralogy, lithium content, impurities and physical condition.

Refined lithium chemicals

Lithium carbonate and lithium hydroxide are downstream chemical products. A lithium ore enquiry does not establish battery-grade chemical availability.

Lithium procurement assessment
Review areaWhat to establish
Mineral identityIdentify the lithium-bearing mineral and the evidence supporting that identification. Include mineralogical information if your process requires it.
Assay and reporting basisState whether the result is elemental lithium (Li) or lithium oxide equivalent (Li₂O), with units and the dry or as-received basis. These figures are not interchangeable.
Other constituentsSpecify the elements or compounds your plant limits. The relevant impurity profile depends on the mineral and processing route.
Physical conditionDefine acceptable particle size, fines and moisture. Include packaging and handling requirements.
Sample and lot identityConnect the sample, assay date and testing method to the material offered. Agree any independent verification or trial requirements.

These are assessment criteria, not a published Europiun grade sheet. Available grades and documentation are confirmed for the proposed supply.

Battery-material supply chains

Lithium minerals can enter supply chains that produce battery chemicals after appropriate concentration, conversion and purification. Upstream mineral qualification and downstream battery-material qualification are different decisions.

Glass and ceramics

Lithium has established uses in glass and ceramic products. A manufacturer’s formulation determines the acceptable lithium source and composition.

Questions about lithium supply

Practical answers before you prepare an enquiry.

Do you supply spodumene, lepidolite or petalite?

Tell us which lithium-bearing mineral you require. Our team will confirm the material available for your enquiry; the mineral names on this page describe procurement categories rather than a stock list.

Does a lithium assay establish battery-grade quality?

No. An assay reports composition for the sample tested. Battery-grade products have additional chemical and customer-qualification requirements; raw mineral feedstock is a separate product.

What determines the quotation?

The offered material, agreed assay basis, required volume, verification, packaging, delivery destination and commercial terms. Share these details so our team can assess the supply requirement.

Bring your processing requirements into the supply discussion

Start with the material your operation can use, then define the commercial requirement around it.
